Dear Community,
After much thought and discussion, we've decided to move away from a brick-and-mortar model for now. We are leaving the main gallery space at 2 Inverness Way N. at the end of August to take a break, rest, and work on our new business model, including pop-ups, events, art/design consultation, and online sales. Kim Ford Kitz will retain her art studio on the premesis. It's been an honor to steward this historic structure that holds so many memories; we've put a lot of love and care into the space, infused it with beauty and a bit of magic, and breathed new life into it. We removed the ivy that shrouded the patio in mystery, refreshed the landscaping, and added our flair! We've enjoyed supporting artists, connecting with the community, and making new friends. One of the highlights of our time here was showing Rick Lyttle's (1927-2023) exquisite etchings, prints, and paintings, with so much of his subject matter particular to Inverness and West Marin. Locals and visitors alike still respond to his work. We'll continue to offer Lyttle's work in our new business model. We also enjoyed exhibitions with Judy Molyneux, Michael O'Shea, Laurie Curtis, Ambrose Leite, Stephen Pring, and Natasha Selfridge.
If you like what we've done and want to support us as we evolve into our next phase, swing by between now and the end of August. We're having a big clearance sale! If you do not want to buy anything but still want to show your support, you may contribute here or by clicking the button below. If you are interested in leasing the space, email us at artiquitygallery@gmail.com. We are helping the owner find the right fit for it.
We thank our friends, family, and community for your continued care and support! Let's stay connected.
With love,
Kim and Heather
